Made Her Day | HashTag Life

Hello stranger!

Recently, my friend turned 16, and me, being me, gave her her present slightly late :S; and I regret not taking a picture of all the stuff that I got her to share with you guys! The hustle and panic of mock exams and school may have gotten the better of me!!

I wanted to give her loads of smallish things along with a bigger (more pricey) present; but, I think the star of the show was definitely a very long note I wrote for her. I never give my good friends a birthday card but instead spend a decent amount of time writing them a letter explaining why I got them the things I did and giving them my best wishes, as well as telling them how much they mean to me. I'm glad she thought this was the best part of the present, as I did :D.

I made her read this letter (which took up two sides of A4 lime green paper - her favourite colour) at home to avoid any embarrassment... And, this girl, who rarely ever sends anyone texts, messaged me in the middle of the night calling me 'the cutest thing ever' and said that the letter 'made her day'. This made MY day! I thought it was so lovely of her to acknowledge the thought that went into the present and I'm so glad she enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend writing letters to your close friends in addition to any present you want to give them as it does bring you a lot closer together!

Also, another friend of mine, who is adorable, told me that she reads my tweets all the time and that they make her day! This also made MY day! I love it when people say that I make them happy and that I actually have some sort of positive effect on their life!

It's always nice to be appreciated!
